This was my first sighting of turtles this spring. They were spotted in the pond in the Wychwood Park neighbourhood on one of their favourite logs catching a bit of sun. It is always a good sign to see turtles in the wild! I took the shot through some bushes so there are some fuzzy areas in the pic.

Hurrah! Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see them back. I bet the sun feels good to them.
ReplyDeleteWow, turtles! The special feature! We have nothing but frogs;-)
ReplyDeleteThere is just something about seeing the turtles out sunning themselves that makes me smile. It is nice to see the turtles in the wild.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend! PS, your visit and comment are always appreciated.
We love turtles too and my husband can never resist taking photos of them! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey look sizable. We also have turtles in our ponds, but not quite this large. They are enjoying the warmth of the sun.
ReplyDeleteThey know a good place when they see it. The welcome back sign must be up. :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to have turtles in the UK. But we don't. Are your turtles migratory? Or do they go quiet in the winter?
ReplyDeleteA fun image! It is always nice to spot the first animals/birds/marine life of the season.
ReplyDeleteThey heard it was Memorial Day weekend. So they must be imports. :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear and see they're back.
ReplyDeleteI love turtles!
ReplyDeleteThey make a pleasing sight.
ReplyDeleteHow nice! Turtles are interesting critters.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wild turtles.
ReplyDeleteGreat view.
ReplyDeleteI love them. We saved our first about a month ago. I put a raft on our frogpond and hope to see them sunning!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be enjoying the homecoming too!
