I was out for a walk and could hear honking behind me and managed to get my camera out and focused enough to catch this flock of Canada Geese heading overhead. They were heading north so must be tough winter residents here.

It is wonderful to see and hear their voice.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy hearing the geese honking, great flight capture.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post! Take care, have a happy weekend!
...few is any of the geese here head south anymore!
ReplyDeleteSuch a thrill to see them - and hear them.
ReplyDeleteI missed a shot like this just the other day. I didn't have my camera with me when I heard the honking and the iPhone just won't work for this kind of shot. I love how they make so much noise when they fly.
ReplyDeleteThey go north to framers corn fields. There is plenty of leftover corn in those fields.
ReplyDeleteHeading North? I'll keep looking up in case they make a u turn! heehee! Holiday hugs!
ReplyDeleteThese geese are confused. We have been seeing flocks heading south this past week. If geese have enough food they might not migrate.
ReplyDeleteNice catch, Pat. Glad they were honking to alert you to their presence overhead.
ReplyDeleteHa! they must have heard the guy practicing his tuba. :-)
ReplyDeleteamazing...that is difficult to do, my luck, they would all be long gone!!
ReplyDeleteSuper capture Pat, I haven't seen a flying flock of birds for ages✨
ReplyDeleteThere is always one who knows the way.
ReplyDeleteI love to see Geese flying! Probably just moving from one pond or lake to another.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Some of them do stay over the winter.
