Some kind person had come by the pond at James Gardens and had spread a nice supply of grains around for the ducks who live there. Some had already had their fill but others kept flying in for a bit of a snack.

Feeding these guys helps them get through the winter. I am sure they appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThey are awesome bird;-))
ReplyDeleteIt must take a lot of "fuel" to keep warm in that weather.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI guess the ducks and geese need some help with their food source in the winter months.
Some cracked corn or seed is probably gobbled up. Great shot! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend! PS, thank you for visiting and leaving me a comment.
What a party !
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated I’m sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is so kind of whoever it was. Those ducks would have a hard time finding food in that snow. I photographed some ducks yesterday but I haven't downloaded the photos yet.
ReplyDeleteThese ducks are heading north pushing the season a bit to get the best nesting spots. Good someone is helping them out. I saw two large flocks of geese heading north today. Must have been snow geese.
ReplyDeleteTime for the feeding frenzy. Great shot, Pat.
ReplyDeleteHow nice for someone to feed them! We took seed to feed the Scrubjays this week. I hope they found it! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnd now through you that kindness has warmed our hearts as well!
ReplyDeleteThey do appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteWith as much snow and ice as you all have had, they probably need that extra.
ReplyDeleteNice one.
ReplyDeleteA treat for sure.
ReplyDeleteHearty birds having not flown south!!!
