This is the site of the old Honest Ed's store and actually the whole city block that was owned by the Mirvish family. The towers are proceeding at a fine pace and the landscaping plans for the park that is to be included in the project have just been released. There are also going to be community garden areas and market place spots and most surprisingly the towers will all be rental apartments which we really need here.
One is surprised about that.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a big project with lots of aspects. It's fun to watch it grow.
ReplyDeleteGood to see the progress on this major project. Any time a whole city block changes function it is major. Sounds like the changes should be positive for the neighborhood despite the high rise buildings.
ReplyDeleteUnusual to find developers building what is required in the neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteIt is excellent knowing there are gardens planned!
ReplyDeleteThat is a massive project, glad to see it progressing. It's great that a garden is going to be included. I can imagine the rent for those apartments will be quite spendy.
ReplyDeleteThey become tall houses.
ReplyDeleteMany people will find a new home there.
ReplyDeleteBuen lío de estructuras y grúas hay ahí.
ReplyDeleteBuen fin de semana Pat. Cuídate
Un abrazo.
...but will it have the charm of Ed's place?
ReplyDeleteHoney, it's EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteAre there still photo's around from Honest Ed to compare?
ReplyDeleteLooks like one of those Meccano sets I used to play with as a boy.
ReplyDeleteI remember your posts of Ed’s old place never would have guessed it was this same area!
