Still In Lockdown

This is the Cafe Diplomatico, one of Toronto's most loved restaurants and patios. It has been a mainstay on College St since 1968 and in nice weather it is hard to get a seat out on that patio. We are in lockdown until June 2 and so this view on a recent Sunday is not about to change until at least then. So many places are closing for good.

  2. Hope this loved cafe survives the pandemic. We have lost a couple restaurants, but only chain places, not those owned by locals.

  4. ...I heard that Trudeau announced the he wouldn't open the border unil 75% of Canadians have their first shot. Let's hope that you are on the ball more than Americans.

  11. That is sad Pat. I feel sorry for all the small businesses that couldn't keep up.
We are not in lockdown, but our borders are still closed to the outside world until mid next year when hopefully most of the population will have been vaccinated :(

  12. Hello,
It is sad to see so many businesses having to close. Restaurants here are trying to hang in there with carry-out and the outdoor seating. Some are now having inside seating at half the amount of seating. Take care, enjoy your day!
