This bee was certainly living up to its reputation as it went from flower to flower gathering nectar. It has been hot here the last week and for the first time ever I have seen bees going to the birdbath for a drink of water. It surprised me but it makes sense.

ReplyDeleteBusy as a bee at a flower farm.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower, the bee looks busy! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend.
Love seeing bees at work. They are so important to the natural world, and the pesticides that poison them should be banned.
ReplyDeleteYou got a great shot of one of nature's little workers. I see bees hovering around fountains and water spouts quite often but it makes sense here water is at a premium.
ReplyDeleteA bee!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good photo of him. I watched one on our petunias this morning but didn't try to get a photo.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty picture, the bee and the purple flower!! π
ReplyDeleteWe'd be in a fine mess without the bees doing the work of pollination for us.
ReplyDeleteBees do important work. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteWe have wasps visiting our birdbath constantly. Bumblebees only rarely.
ReplyDeleteOh? I never saw a bee drinking water - interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
These fellas gave me a lot of balcony-strawberries this year, I thank them big!
It's been so hot in many places. The bees have been at all my flowers. I so enjoy them.
