Hey Lady!

These geese thought that I might have food and they started chasing me across the lawn as I left the parking lot at James Gardens. They were very intimidating but eventually realized I was not going to feed them. I did run a bit though!

  1. Geese can become quite a problem where people insist on feeding them.

Pretty shot of the geese, they can be mean. I usually keep my distance.

  4. I've seen them get pretty aggressive. You managed a good shot of this group in spite of their behavior.

  6. Probably flapping your arms and shrieking like an eagle would have scared them off. Sure would have scared ME off! :D

  8. Insistant Canada geese can be intimidating. Best not to irritate them. Apparently people have been feeding them.

  9. Tell me about it! We live by a lake. One day during the winter I made the mistake of spreading some squirrel feed on the ground. Immediately geese rushed over to eat the corn. After that they rushed over every time I went out in the back yard. After a few weeks they gave up since I didn't provide any more corn.

  11. Canada geese are brutal. I was at my daughter's house this morning, next to a lake, and about 30 aggressive Canada geese were honking and even fighting. Fortunately, they were at a distance.
