It is the time of year when the Monarch butterflies are heading off to their winter hideaway in Mexico. They seem to be fluttering by more and more each day even on the really windy days. Such a long trip for a delicate creature.

Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Monarch, since their population was struggling I am always happy to see the Monarch. Great photo. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving a comment on my post.
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to see Monarch Butterflies, but we have seen fewer of them over the past few years.
ReplyDeleteIt is mind boggling that they can fly all that way with those thin and delicate wings. One of nature's great mysteries.
ReplyDeleteHard to get these little beggars to sit still. Good shot. :-)
ReplyDeleteGosh you snapped a nice Photo Pat
ReplyDeleteI always thought I'd visit the Monarchs' winter home when we lived in Mexico but we almost always went to the beach instead.
