Up Is Harder Than Down

We had no snow on New Year Day but got snow that night so the next day all the kids were out with sleds and inner tubes and anything else that would slide down a hill. This is the steepest hill at Christie Pis park but it also has 2 large light posts at the bottom of the hill so you have to steer carefully. Coming back up the hill can be a chore.

  1. This brings back childhood memories. We had a hill about this size where I grew up and every time it snowed, the hill was full of kids (and parents).

  2. Kids are young and strong, so they don't mind walking back up the hill for the another thrill ride down. Great action.

  6. Kids are not bothered to walk up the steep hill if the fun of going down is promised.

  9. There's a hill here that was declared out of bounds several years ago for sledding. A girl got killed a couple of weeks back doing it anyway.

  11. I remember those days. Now I'd be happier going up than down.

  13. Sledding never gets old! I love it, from my childhood, my children's childhood and now even my grandchildren's childhood! Thank goodness we have our own cool bank to slide down right here at home!
