This was taken last Thursday which was St Patrick's Day and it was a grand warm day here. These Aconite flowers are the first flowers that I have seen this spring. Hurray!
Ah, they are just lovely flowers, and so welcome to see after a long, cold winter. Our first flowers are usually the Pasque flowers (the SD state flower), but I haven't seen any yet this year.
Snowdrops are usually just a little ahead of the aconites here, both have bloomed and faded a while ago. You still have it all to look forward to!
