On the same day as the pic from last Saturday of the ducks on the icy pond I went for a walk along one of the trails at James Gardens and spotted this group of Mallards all crowded together in a small section of a stream. They all seemed quite happy together and some were actually sleeping. I counted 8 of them in that spot.

They're quite at ease.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteCute photo, the ducks may be staying warmer crowded together in that small section. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend.
They are seeking what little open water they can find. Fine winter image. Keep warm, RedPat.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are helping to keep each other warm.
ReplyDeleteThey were happy to find a spot big enough for them all! What a beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteTogether they keep warm and enjoy the rest. Beautiful capture, Pat.
ReplyDeleteThat configuration makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteCould be a family reunion!
ReplyDeleteThey are all hiding in the ditches. It must be so freezing
ReplyDeleteWe went down to the duck pond this afternoon and the dozens that were still here seemed happy.
ReplyDeleteDid they find a piece of open water after all. Yes they remain clever beasts.
ReplyDeleteThey are cramped;-)
ReplyDeleteSoon they'll be flying north!
