Just off the edge of my roof deck I have a large saucer of water which acts as a bird bath but more importantly provides water for a fairly large population of birds who come by regularly for a drink. I was just getting ready to fill the saucer up when this Sparrow came by for a fast drink. They love it just after I have filled the water up and it is really cold so I'm sure he will be back soon.

What a pretty bird this is.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice place for the birds - I like the rocks you added.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, it looks like a nice spot for the birds to take a drink.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
that's a great image!! sparrows don't get the props they deserve...they are not colorful but they have a great feather pattern!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Dear 💗🙏🏽
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things to do is watch birds playing in the water. This is perfect.
ReplyDeleteHow fine your provide water for the birds. With our drying climate the birds need regular sources of water. Good you had this visit from this cute, little House Sparrow.
ReplyDeleteGood of you to help them out.
ReplyDeleteGreat service to your feathered friends. I like it and will do it also.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a friendly stop to visit for a drink of water.
ReplyDeleteIf the birds have discovered our bird bath they are very sneaky about it. The only one I've seen was a robin early one morning taking a rambunctious bath.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! Heart warming.
ReplyDeleteI envy the heat
ReplyDeleteGood idea, possibly more important than leaving out food for the birds in summer.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...cutie pie! Nice capture.
