This is the screen that blocks the mural which I showed you yesterday. A rather ordinary looking building had this stainless steel laser cut scrim attached to it a few years ago. The pattern on the scrim references a mapping of parts of Toronto. The building itself is part of the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) and is right across the road from the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). I'll show you another view tomorrow.
An unusual structure.
ReplyDeleteNever have seen a screen like this one. It reminds me of the hull of a ship.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting and I must say, artistic addition to this building. The "artistic" part is most likely the point.
ReplyDeleteIs it supposed to resemble or am I seeing things?
ReplyDeleteVery different!
ReplyDeleteAn attempt to jazz up a rather ordinary building. Not sure it works for me.
ReplyDeleteHomage to design!
ReplyDeleteStunning effect.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I think it's ugly.
ReplyDeleteInteresting metal scrap melted on the top of the block. Quite something in design
ReplyDeleteAn interesting design, I had to look twice!
ReplyDeleteDifferent.
ReplyDeleteAh, "art". That would explain it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a modern piece of art.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day!
