Willow


I thought this willow tree was looking rather regal when I saw it glowing in the sunshine a week ago. They are such stately trees.

    We had one on the property when I was growing up. They really are beautiful trees.

    It's elegant; and the willow has also been a literary emblem of sorrow, desolation or loneliness.
    The expression "to wear the willow" is the state of sadness when a person's beloved is lost.
