More Mystery

A few weeks ago I showed you a person washing what appeared to be plastic bags in a creek.  Well, I spotted another person doing the same thing in the creek with an even bigger pile of bags. When finished they carry them back to their vehicles and leave. It is a real mystery as to why they would be washing out bags. We don't have plastic bags in the stores anymore here.

  1. Hello,
I would have thought they are cleaning up trash from the river.
Using the trash bags for transport? It is strange if they are just washing the bags? Have a great day and happy new week!

  2. Here you are supposed to wash anything that you put in the re-cycling bin. Maybe they've been cleaning up an area and the bags are to be re-cycled. We don't have too much of a problem with bags but I know that the man who picks up any litter in our village washes out the drinks cans that he collects.

  3. Try asking them what they are doing, and why.

  4. Excellent that your area no longer uses plastic bags. Wish that were true here as well. No idea why they would be using creek water to wash out plastic bags. If you find out, please let us know.

  5. I did a quick Google search and all I get is washing bags so they can be reused. I use my own bags at the grocery and I take any accumulated plastic bags back to the store and put them in a recycle bin. I can't image why anyone would want to reuse them. It's a mystery.

  9. Cleaning drug residue from the bags. It is a strange one. In theory we don't have plastic bags available in shops anymore, in theory.
