There are so many trendy barber shops around that it is nice to spot an old traditional one. This one on Bloor St W has been operating for many years at a couple of different locations along the street. Pic was taken early on a Sunday morning when they were closed.
A few years ago I was taking a walk and came across one that looked very much like this. I wish I had taken a photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely red chairs.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI think there is one just like this in our nearby town.
Take care, have a great day!
Reminds me of Louie the barber who cut my hair when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteEvery other shop round here is a barber's. I think there are a lot of Eastern European immigrants that make that their business.
ReplyDeleteA good interior.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very traditional looking barber shop. There used to be three or four barber shops here, but now there is only one, and the wait time is always long.
ReplyDeleteBarber shops are opening everywhere here - the result I suppose of having your hair cut frequently being the trendy thing for young men to do at the moment. A far cry from when I was a teenager!
ReplyDelete...those are old time chairs, neat!
ReplyDeleteYes, something iconic about it. I can see why it attracted your attention. I enjoy your photos. Pat, thank you for being a great companion through the year. I wishing you a beautiful year ahead my friend. Aloha
ReplyDeleteI like the old style barber shop!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this one!!!! My 1970´s chair I found in the street and sit on right now says hi!
ReplyDeleteSome subjects are inherently interesting for some reason. Trains are another -- much better than airplanes for some reason. Or perhaps it is just me.
ReplyDeleteI love it, there are a few still around here too!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of barber shop, but of course I am very traditional.
