This log in the pond in Wychwood Park is usually the resting and sunning spot for the resident turtles but with the turtles hiding away for the winter the ducks have taken over. I loved all the soft ripples on the surface of the water.

Hello :=)
ReplyDeleteThe log is ideal for the resting Mallard ducks. It's such a pretty picture, and I also like the ripples on the water.
All the best

Everyone needs a good resting log! Very neat to see critters there!
ReplyDeleteBalancing on a seesaw
ReplyDeleteThese ducks are trying to keep their feet warm. Good to still see liquid water.
ReplyDeleteA good perch for them.
ReplyDeleteNice spot to take a rest! And catch a bit of the sun...
ReplyDeleteWhy ducks climb up onto logs puzzles me —of course they do it here too. Sometimes there’s a whole line of them. It must help them find food or rest or be free of pests or something! Or maybe they just like it.

I miss our ducks!
