"Don't Bother Me Today"

 This Red-tailed Hawk sat up in this tree for at least 20 minutes and refused to turn around for a portrait. I think it was busy watching for squirrels in a nearby field and had no time for me. It was a coolish day so he was looking rather puffed up.

Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.

  5. Hello :=)
    As I have never seen a Red-tailed Hawk from the back it gives me the chance of seeing the detail in the feathers. :=)
    Enjoy your weekend

  8. I wonder if the hawk got its meal. Very nicely patterned feathers.

  9. It’s hard to get inside the head of a bird and figure out what it has in mind. I suspect they are not particularly interested in humans.
