There was a very large group of Mexicans who marched and danced in our St Patrick's Day parade as a tribute to the many Irish who fought with Mexico in the Mexican-American war. They formed the St Patrick Batallion.

ReplyDeleteLarge numbers of Irish went to Mexico for the Mexican-American War which becomes obvious in the St. Patrick's Day parade in San Antonio, Texas.
