I had two Black Swallowtail caterpillars munching away on my dill for a couple of days and then we had a big storm and they have disappeared. I'm hoping they are hiding out somewhere safe.

Your photo is a great image of nature in a close up macro. I also hope these caterpillars survived, but nature can also be hard.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Is it a dark butterfly? We have (Papilio machaon) the Old World swallowtail. Their larvae have not been seen yet.
