This is part of the Royal Theatre building which I showed you a few weeks ago. It was probably used as part of the theatre when it was a cinema but now houses a chicken sandwich place. Too bad they didn't do a sign with an art deco flavor to go along with the wonderful details on the building itself.

I very much like those "interlocking curves" on the right side of the photo. On the other hand if I was hungry I might favour PG Clucks.
ReplyDelete...the first floor may suit the restaurant's needs, but I wish that looked like the 2nd and 3rd floors!
ReplyDeleteI like that building a lot. It needs to be brought back to its original look.
ReplyDeleteI have always like the geometric design of Art Deco, and it looks great on buildings.
ReplyDeleteGood looking building. Maybe they will bring back the original look if they ever do an upgrade.
ReplyDeleteWas a cute shop, even if it isn't harmonious with the building.
ReplyDeleteI agree with AC!
DeleteI like that wonderful old building. Nice brick work. Toronto has so many livable streetscapes
ReplyDeleteI agree about the sign, especially as there is the nice curved frontage next to the sign.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what clucks meant. A sleek sign
ReplyDeleteNice brickwork. Stupid entrance.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon.
