I have often admired this wonderful old Willow tree at James Gardens and on a recent trip to visit the ducks there, this woman was spotted doing a painting of it. It must take bravery to paint outside in public like that. I don't think that I could do it.
I feel you'd have to be pretty sure of your talent to display half-finished works so publicly. I'd rather take a quick picture then slink away.
ReplyDeleteGosh, that is a big one. It must be so old.
ReplyDeleteI saw a woman doing it yesterday afternoon. She was looking at a huge outdoor sculpture. When I peeked at her canvas, she had just started with an outline.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting subject for painting.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the willow tree and the artist.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful week!
Painting in outside is an accepted way to capture the beauty of nature. Good for this artist doing plain air painting.
ReplyDeleteOr play an instrument outdoors!
ReplyDeleteA talented artist doing her thing. Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteI don’t know when I last saw someone out painting like that.
ReplyDeleteIts the way all great artists did.
ReplyDeleteIs that a giant tortoise in the background?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that it's appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with a big willow tree on the property.
