A Busy Corner
A neighbourhood cafe is a busy place on a warm summer weekend. This cafe is right in the middle of a residential area and was the site of one of the corner stores that were everywhere years ago. Now people are lined up out the door for a good coffee and treat.

ReplyDeleteThat's good to see. People always seem to have money to eat out. But then if they don't, they'll be at home I guess.
ReplyDeleteAn upmarket cafe with a celebrity owner opened to great acclaim and popularity opposite me about 15 years ago. Twelve months later, it had closed. The snootiest young staff never made anyone feel welcome and would never deviate from the 'correct' way of doing things.
