A Handsome Creature

 

This male Cardinal has been singing quite loudly around our place for the last week. Mating season again? He certainly is looking to be in his prime.

    I have always loved seeing these bright red Cardinals. We have a pair that lives somewhere in our backyard. Great photo of this guy. I hope he is successful at finding a mate, and fathering the next generation.

    I love seeing cardinals, but I hear them more than I see them. There is a pair of smaller birds now getting their second nesting ready.
