Demolition
This is all that remains of a long term care home that has been demolished slowly over the last few months. Unfortunately I think it is being replaced with a condo tower but we shall wait and see. It would be nice if it was a nicer LTC instead.
Nothing seems to last.
ReplyDeleteIt is always sad to see a well built old building torn down because a new building will make more money. The residents of the LTC facility were displaced and may have moved somewhere less desirable.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. The need for affordable housing is reaching a crisis point.

It's a shame that everything old is being demolished. A lot of buildings are being demolished here too! Apparently it's cheaper to demolish than to renovate the old!!

ReplyDeleteSeniors, I mean! It is cheaper to demolish. The wiring, plumbing, and materials do age, just like people!
