This midrise condo building on Dupont St really seems to work well visually. I think it is all the different surfaces and shapes across the front that makes it successful rather than a flat straight up facade. There is still quite a wind tunnel effect though.
...in Toronto, the way to go is UP!
ReplyDeleteOh my! The rents!
ReplyDeleteThis one is very nicely designed. I like the different levels.
ReplyDeleteThat looks big.
ReplyDeleteThis building does have visual appeal, and the rents must be high, but few building designers think about the consequence for air flow and wind. Sorry to hear it creates a wind tunnel effect.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, that's a good looking building.
ReplyDeleteThe rents will be super expensive.
ReplyDeleteLooks very Nice! Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThe varied textures and forms give the building real character, even if the wind tunnel effect reminds you that good design doesn’t always tame the elements
ReplyDeleteVery nice. It doesn't look like it has been maximised for profit.
ReplyDeleteGreat architecture. I like it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking building.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does seem a more thoughtful building than just a square
