Cool Gate

I was wandering along a laneway/alley in the Annex, as is my habit, when I spotted this very cool gate protecting a parking spot. The gate has your normal chain link fencing but sections have been cut out and metal wire inserted in patterns that reminds me of crocheting giving the whole thing the look of an old-fashioned doily, don't you think? I love it but have no idea who you could hire to do such a thing!

  1. You're right Red, that's the first thing that hit me - crocheting. That is one great chain-link fence!

  6. It looks very much like something that Lois Anne's grandmother would have crocheted. It's quite beautiful.

  7. Love, love, love this. What a delightful way to turn a ordinary, not real attractive barrier into something to enjoy. I agree it looks like crochet, it would be fun to know how it was done.
