Door At #8

I can't resist a bright red door. There is something so inviting about them and oddly enough I don't have a red door myself!

  3. I agree with you on the red door attraction. There really is something eye catching about a red door. In this case that big #8 is also pretty eye catching.

  4. I could have written those words myself! Could almost have taken the photo, as there are plenty of red doors in Saltaire. So cheerful, a real 'welcome home'.

  5. It has to be right for the house (it is here). I would love a yellow door but haven't got the right house, yet!

  6. I agree that they can be very attractive in the right setting. It's especially nice here up against that grey stone.

In the U.S. many Episcopal Churches (Anglican) have red doors. I'm sure there is a special meaning behind that practice, but I've never asked.

  7. I an with you. I adore red doors. I even painted my house's door red one time, looked again the next day and repainted it back to the color it started with. It just wasn't right. But, there will be more doors in the future, I imagine . . .
