In The Eye Of The Beholder

Today is theme day for the City Daily Photo community and this month's theme is "the beauty of decay".  This little house (probably was a Gothic Revival cottage) has sat empty for as long as I can remember and each year the roof seems to sag a little bit more but someone has chosen to decorate it with quite nice flowers that give some sense of beauty to the whole thing. I'm sure that one day something surprising will turn up in this spot.

  3. They remind me of a (very) old tv series that we used to have over here; Bill and Ben, The Flower Pot Men!

  4. The roof looks like it's about to cave in but the little flowers are lovely!

  5. The little flowers look surprised like the world is collapsing around them - which it might be, seeing as how their world is this old building.

I'd guess that the place isn't worth saving and that you're right about a new building being put up in its place...still kinda sad, though...

  8. those are cute flowers! I am still perplexed as to why this kind of destruction by abandonment is allowed to occur in a city. Call R Ford to have a look.

  12. Hard to believe there is a piece of property like that in your booming town. Bet it is part of an estate that is all tied up. Love the expressions on the flowers.
