An Annex Pub

It's nice to find an Irish style pub in a building with some atmosphere and this one is especially nice since it is a typical Annex-style house - large, with turret, and balconies.  The inside of the Pour House is just as nice with lots of dark wood panelling and many good beers on tap!

  2. If I have to be in a "poor" house, I'd rather be in a "pour" house! That looks like a great place to spend an evening!

If one has to desecrate a lovely old home, pouring a pub into is a nice idea.

  11. One very beautiful pub. Almost like a romantic chateau in design. And the sign itself has a wonderful street presence.

  13. I like it. Lots of charm and character and I'll bet the interior smells of old dark wood and stale beer!

  16. What a truly gorgeous old house! And the pub's name would appeal to my punster brother as well as my punster husband.
But oh, those upper storeys. I love the balcony with the flowers on it. I could happily live there. Or in the turret!

  21. Very clever! It oozes with welcoming vibes.

Thank you for your visit and comment on my strange sign. This was a checkpoint at the dam. We dutifully rolled down the window only to be waved through with not even a "how do you do?".
