Cold Diver
Last weekend the Yorkville neighbourhood hosted its 9th Annual Icefest in the commercial area along Cumberland St and the adjoining Yorkville Park. The theme this year was 'Heat Wave' which seemed to influence a lot of the artists to create mermaids and tropical birds but I quite liked this diver floating above some coral along with a tortoise companion and a few fish. It was a cold day but the sun was strong so some of the details were starting to soften.
I love the ice sculptures Pat, but all that work.. melting, oh la!
ReplyDeleteI love it, anything tropical is OK by me:) Though I too think of all that work, just to have it melt...

What a cool work, I saw the picture and at the same time the image of a diver and colourful fish came to my mind! ;-)
