A Vintage Sign

I was taking a short-cut last week to avoid a traffic jam when I spotted this vintage Coca-Cola sign but couldn't stop so I headed back this week to get a pic! It is in surprisingly good shape and hasn't been tagged like the top of the building next door but the really good Thai restaurant which was beside it is now gone and I think more condos are coming to this space so it may disappear from sight.

  1. That old Coke sign is a classic worth your effort to get this fine photo.

  2. I try not to drink too many soft drinks but I did enjoy a Coca Cola yesterday afternoon after a particularly long meeting. Great looking sign.

  3. At least you manage to capture it before it does, possibly, disappear!

  4. Cool. Whenever I see an old Coke sign I start to sing the old jingle.

  5. You never know Pat, Coke signs seem to stick round much longer than most. There's a huge one in Kings Cross Sydney that's been there forever! Nice find.

  7. Glad you went back.... Whoever gets the sign when the building is demolished has something worth money I expect. Coca-Cola stuff is so collectible.

  9. The real question is how the heck did the taggers get up there to deface the other building?

  12. Photographing coco cola signs through out the years would make a great project, they have changed so much

  15. I like these old signs - but they are often hard to get a good picture of because of other buildings.

    Nice.
