Ravine Path

Toronto is criss-crossed by an extensive network of deep ravines that have been carved out over the centuries by the 3 rivers and the numerous creeks & streams that run through the city. They have almost all been left in a natural state as a protection against flooding and so you are never very far from a path such as this one leading down from a busy downtown street into wilderness. They are well used by walkers, runners, and especially people walking their dogs!

  6. The best thing is that people actually clean up after their dogs in Toronto. :)

  11. You are so fortunate to have such paths/trails as part of the Metro complex! I would spend a lot of time on these paths. And I'd guess there are a lot of great photo ops along the way, too.

  12. Nice, I associate ravine paths with seaside towns like Scarborough where they are equally popular with joggers and dog walkers.
