University College

When walking through the U of Toronto campus a couple of weeks ago (before the trees leafed out) I was struck by the dramatic sky behind University College. This Romanesque Revival beauty was built in 1859 and is the oldest college at U of T. I've posted many pics of it before which you can see if you click the University College label below.

  1. Now that's the old building I remember! Walked past in every time I crossed the green to the old library.

  2. Maybe you should do a coffee table photo book with your pictures of this fantastic place! I think a person could feel educated just walking through University College!

  5. Even without the sky or any background it's so castle like, such lovely architecture, but then add in this compelling background and bravo picture perfect, imagine this scene made into a puzzle!

  8. This is gorgeous! The clouds make it look even more dramatic. I worked on a university campus for 35 years before retiring and I miss being able to walk around and admire the older buildings.

  10. Oh my what a wonderful image Pat, the sky is brilliant but the college architecture is awesome.. Amazing to think that apart from the few modern touches, like the row of cars out front :) that scene is little changed in all those years.
