Obey

This piece is actually titled "Obey Eye" and it was painted on Queen St W in 2014 by American artist Shepard Fairey. Fairey is most well known for his "Hope" poster done of Barack Aboma for the 2008 American elections. He also did another mural here at the same time which I will have to hunt down.

    Okay...the directive and totalitarian eye! Don't like the message; won't obey the message, but it's interesting. Of course, you may be pulling my leg and this is all satire. Perhaps?

    Didn't know Fairey did murals. What an eye grabber--a mural that looks back at you. We can't say we haven't been warned. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
