St Francis Church Interior

I showed you the exterior of St Francis Roman Catholic  Church in May last year (HERE) and I finally got inside during the Doors Open event here in the city a couple of weeks ago. The Church was built in  1915 and has been renovated a few times especially in the 1970s when so many changes took place in Catholic churches everywhere including great changes in the style and placement of the altars.  I took this pic from up in the organ loft and will show you a couple of detail shots over the next couple of days.
Taking part in Inspired Sunday. Click HERE to see more religious buildings from around the world.

  5. This is very beautiful. Our churches around here are very, very plain. Nothing like this.

  6. It's very nice and I see the altar has been pulled away from the wall to the center of the chancel.
