A Ghostly Sign

I was lined up for a film at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) when I spotted the ghost sign for Southam Press up on the side of what had been its headquarters since 1909. They are no longer there and the building has had extensive renovations to provide space for offices and studios in the heart of the Entertainment District.

  14. That's a name from the not too distant past, though I had to look it up to see how far back (2000)

  18. In 1970 I spent two months at Toronto University on an Intensive Summer Russian course. I loved it! I don't remember any ghost at that time though:)

  20. Queues are great opportunities to take careful note of details in the immediate surroundings. It is actually heaven for a photographer. Adore these ghost signs. Good to see that some are preserved.
