For The Birds

The ducks & geese at James Gardens never go hungry but most people bring them bread which apparently isn't good for them. This woman spent about 5 minutes tossing them goodies of some kind.

  3. I wonder why bread isn't good for them. They seem to be thriving here, and enjoying every minute of it! :)

  6. It's better to give them grapes or peas. Bread is very bad for them as well as contaminating the water.

  11. Hello!:) My goodness there are a lot of ducks and geese at James Gardens. Yes, bread is really junk food for ducks, and shouldn't be given.

  14. I agree. Feeding them adds to the mess around the area and makes the birds dependent on the vagaries of handouts.
