November Theme: Rock 'n' Roll

The November theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is Rock 'n' Roll and for the theme I offer this pic of a great old LP of original Rock hits. There are some great songs on there - if only I had something to play LPs on!
Taking part in the Rock 'n' Roll theme. Click HERE to see more examples from around the world.

  1. For several years I wrote a column re new records coming on the market. I got free samples and must have had a couple thousand LPs at one point. Eventually, I sold or gave them away. Now I wish I'd kept them as I had many classics. You can buy LP players quite cheaply these days.

  2. It really is amazing how much "owning" music has changed over the years. I remember when I finally transferred all of my music to iTunes I thought it was mind boggling that all those CD's that took up so much room in my house was now on the teeny-tiny little machine I could hold in my hand.

  4. Rock on! My thoughts for November are this, "Why did you come so early?"

  6. Flash back the 50s and 60s.
    The two greatest decades ever.

  7. The first time my 18 year old saw a record player was in a museum last month!

  8. You can come play it at my house. I've still got a turntable. But the speakers with it died. We've still got most of our old LP's just little time to listen to them.

  9. Yeah. What do we do with old LPs? And Beta Max. And VHS. And before long even CDs and DVDs won't have anything to play them on. (I sound like an old man with an "everything today is going to the dogs" attitude.)

  10. Great sign. I do remember when these machines were in their hay day. Still like rock n' roll.

  11. I would love to listen to this! I have the same problem though, nothing to play my LPs on.

  12. What goes around, comes around...and your LP looks brilliant. Go out and treat yourself to a record player.

  13. Some great classics on that LP. All I have left today is a huge bunch of music files. It's just not the same as looking and holding your music but at least I still can hear it. :) Nice shot Pat.
