August Theme Day: Black

The August theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is "Black" and for this I offer a little black dress (LBD). Found in a gallery it is ceramic and made to reference the paper doll clothes of days gone past. I remember playing with paper dolls & clothes for hours.
Taking part in the theme "Black". Click HERE to see more examples of black from around the world.

Hello,
My mother use to make Barbie doll clothes, I think she enjoyed creating her own designs of doll clothes. The black dress does not look like it is ceramic. Wishing you a happy day and a great weekend ahead.

I like the black theme for August with hints of autumn coming in the added colors on the dress. Paper dresses for paper dolls provided hours and hours of imaginative playtime fun.

A wonderful offering for the theme, Pat. My sisters used to play with paper dolls and their clothes back in the day.

Good one! The design is perfectly "modern."

Such fun memories your photo brings to mind. I loved paper dolls when I was a child. Have a nice upcoming weekend.

This is a nice piece. I never did get into paper dolls which is peculiar because I'm passionately into playing with paper (and rubber stamps and dies and ink) now, mostly making greeting cards.

I see my granddaughters playing with many of the same things their mother did when she was little.
