Vintage Deco

I showed this apartment building on St Clair Ave W in a summer shot in 2014 and was recently walking by and thought a winter shot was in order. Called the Fleetwood Apartments, construction took place in 1939 and the building now has heritage protection. You can see the 2014 post HERE.

  1. ...it's wonderful to know that this building is protected and won't become a glass skyscraper.

  2. It looks just as fabulous here as it did previously Pat, it is a glorious piece of Art Deco architecture. I would still love to see inside 😉

  3. It seems strange without the balconies.

  4. What a beauty this is. It looks a lot like that building in London that I photographed. The one that is used for Hercule Poirot's apartment building in the TV shows. This one is shaped just like that one.

  12. I remember seeing many buildings of that vintage when I was a child. Of course they seem more quaint now.
