Pretty Pink

This small Magnolia tree is always the first one that I see blooming. Again this year it was covered in lovely pink blossoms before the larger trees had even started to open. I'm not sure of its variety but it is a welcome sight each spring. I took this pic a week and a half ago and the others are now flowering.

  1. ...they are flowering here too, but our snow yesterday didn't do them any favors.

  10. A beautiful, colorful tree. The magnolias down here in Florida are also in bloom, though most are not as dramatic.

  12. They always look stunning. It's Magnolia Soulangeana, or Chinese Magnolia.

  13. I was thinking it's a tulip magnolia but then I don't know the Magnolia Soulangeana, so I'll defer to Andrew.
