A Flock Of Butterflies


I spotted this lovely garage door a while ago and though the bright colours were perfect for a post at this dull time of year. I love the flock (?) of butterflies floating across the surface. The artist for this one is Roshni Wijayasinha who has done a lot of pieces around town.

    I was curious about what to call them - on the Internet I found - a flight, a flutter, a swarm. I like "a Flutter of Butterflies" best.

    When I first saw this I thought it was a painting in a museum. But no, just an exceptional mural painted by a very talented artist. Might be a first for a museum to hang a garage door mural.
