This is the elm tree, pictured in the sign showed yesterday, as it appeared about a week ago with no leaves. This really gives you an idea of the scale of this survivor. So many elms have been lost to the disease. On the left side of this pic is Christie Pits park so all of these homes look down onto the park.
I am glad to see this Elm tree is a surviver. It is impressively large.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice tall tree, so glad it is doing well.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
Wow, that is a wonderful old tree! It's beautiful even with no leaves.
ReplyDeleteNice that it still exists.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of that tree disease. I hope this tree carries on, we need trees.
ReplyDeleteStrong, healthy and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beauty!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful shape.
ReplyDelete...as a boy, I remember huge elm trees, they are now a mere memory.
ReplyDeleteEn primavera seguro que renace de nuevo. También tienes frío Pat.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
I love elm tree
ReplyDeleteThat's an incredible elm, and what a fighter. It's sad to see how many trees are dying overall. We have a weeping willow in our front yard that's been growing for at least a century (we think?) and people love seeing it. Our carpet cleaner even told us it gives him hope haha Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAh, elm disease. Of course. This one might have a kind of natural resistance to the disease, which perhaps should be investigated.
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive sight! It's amazing to see such a resilient tree standing strong, especially when so many others have been lost. It must be a beautiful and symbolic presence in the park!
ReplyDeleteThat is big.
ReplyDeleteWhat a monster! Long may it live.
ReplyDeleteHandsome tree!
ReplyDeleteWow, quite a giant.
