The May theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is Very Small and for this I am showing this set of Japanese nesting dolls which I received for Christmas as a kid many years ago. The doll on the right has to be one of the smallest dolls around. The wood on the big doll has darkened through the years but she still looks lovely.

I only know this from Russia - fun it is all around! I once put my hat into a bag and the bag into my backpack and weeee.... that caused chaos. Not so cute as your sweet dolls, RedPat! Very cute. I still have some Japanese items my Dad brought from his journey there (he sold so many SEIKO-watches, he got it for free, as thank you).

We did have a Russian set of dolls. And then my brother gave it away to a client, and some time after that I found the smallest one in a drawer.
