Winter Streetscape

This is a recent shot of Bloor St W in Korea Town. You can see how the snow becomes piled up between the road and the sidewalk. That one shop at the right has been ambitious and shovelled right out to the roadway. Most shops do nothing or do a small section but theirs is really wide.

Brings back memories. Sometimes those piles of snow get really, really high.

...it's time for the city to haul the snow away!

Sometimes it is difficult to find a place to shovel deep snow. Perhaps with warmer weather the snow will just melt away. Interesting neighborhood street scene.

You have to make sure to cross at a designated crossing or you'd need crampons on your boots., mountaineering!

That's a lot of snow. It's not safe for walking if people don't shovel their area.

Looks the same here. Just read a report saying this will be the coldest February since the turn of the century in my neck of the woods.

It's not looking so pretty now.

I assume like here the snow eventually gets carted away, just in time for the next snowstorm?

Bloor is a distinctive street.

Are the parking lots covered in snow?

That is how some of our streets look like, the snow piled high.
Take care, have a great day!
