There are not as many large garden centres in the city as there used to be so a lot of the corner stores have taken over that function. This small store on St Clair W had a huge display of plants spreading all over the sidewalk.
In the past people used to grow their own vegetables and flowers, but now it is less common. There are still a few garden centers in our small town. It's good to see corner stores filling a need.
It is so neat how neighborhood corner stores step up to fill the gap when big garden centers disappear, turning a regular city sidewalk into a vibrant, green oasis! There is something incredibly charming about walking down St. Clair W and stumbling upon a massive display of plants completely taking over the walkway. It makes running ordinary errands feel like a mini nature walk, and it is the perfect reminder that you don't need a massive plot of land to bring a little plant joy to the community. Thanks for sharing this lovely snapshot of urban gardening, it definitely brightens up the streetscape!

Organic energy is palpable
It is wonderful to see!
That’s quite a burst of plants and colour. Very convenient, I would think.
Flowers are beautiful no matter where they are they bring joy to the beholder!

That's impressive and a lot of plants for a corner store to take care of.
I love all the colorful flowers! Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.

There are virtually none here within less than half an hour's drive from the city centre. Florists, yes, in shops and at markets are flower stalls..
So beautiful flowers!
Beautiful, RedPat! Small ones often do it with more love, too.
