Golden Street
We have had a lot of rainy days which means that people haven't been able to rake their leaves and the leaves have stuck to the roadways and sidewalks. When I turned the corner onto this street I was struck by how beautiful it all looked even on a wet day.

The Pumpkin Eater
A lot of people left their pumpkins out on their porches after Halloween and the squirrels had a grand time chewing on them. This black squirrel was keeping one eye on me but never stopped chewing and you can see where he had already been attacking the eye and mouth of this poor Jack.

Colour At The Park
This is a pic I took a couple of weeks ago before we had days and days of rain which knocked a lot of the leaves off the trees. This year the trees seem to be turning to really intense colours. I'm not sure if it is something to do with the hot & dry summer we had but it has been spectacular.

A Laneway Find
I was wandering down a laneway behind Dundas St W way out from downtown when I spotted this little funky oasis. It just shows you that you can make your own little getaway spot anywhere. That is a small deck up behind the wooden wall. All of this is behind just a regular commercial building.

#Unignorable
I don't tweet but this sign from the United Way certainly grabbed my attention as I walked past. As part of their fundraising campaign this fork really gets the message across to "Help Make Hunger Unignorable". I think it is brilliant.

A Fine Entrance
I was wandering around downtown in the King St W area and spotted this fine entrance along Adelaide St. The building was finished in 1915 and had been built for the Hugh MacLean Publications Company. That is a fine carved sandstone surround and the upper window is for the stairwell. I actually posted a pic of the side wall back in 2012 (HERE) showing the ghost sign that is there. There is still no condo next door - just a parking lot so the ghost sign is still visible.
