Brunswick Colour
Continuing the theme of coloured houses, I ventured out today on a very cold (-20C windchill!!) but sunny afternoon to catch this eye-catching yellow and purple house. Then I realized the neighbours had painted their place too but in a more conservative blue - which one pleases you the most? The other half of each of these semis is very neutral.
Great capture!!
ReplyDeleteThey mix well together!
See the icicles :)
And i like that piece of blue sky between the houses!
Love this photograph!
It makes me smile when I see two sides of a semi painted in such different colour schemes. I guess when your house is yellow and purple it's very easy to find. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave!!! Today it was 33°C in Sao Paulo, an extreme temperature too!
ReplyDeleteI like the blue one! ;-)
Nice shot. Which do I like best? Well, the purple one is much too daring and the blue one is too staid, so together they are just about right!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I have never seen anything quite like this. It seems very strange to me to paint a building two different ways even if it is split into to residenses. It certainly makes the houses easy to find.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough I find the purple and yellow house to be cheerful in appearance so I might say I prefer it. However, I would never paint a house those colours.
ReplyDeleteThe blue house looks drab incomparison.
I don't think I can ever have a yellow and purple house, but it sure stands out under that snow!
ReplyDeleteNothing like adding colour to the city. I also went out yesterday with the intent of taking some photos in bright sunlight. I made the mistake of going to the lake. The wind made it so cold I had to pack it in. Glad you got your shots in.
ReplyDeleteThe purple is an odd choice for a house, I think. If it was toned down a bit, it might not be so jarring.
ReplyDeleteThey look a little odd 1/2 painted
ReplyDeleteGreat colors. You sure couldn't miss it.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the personalities of the householders are and whether they get on well as neighbours. There might be a lot of loud partying in one house...
ReplyDeletea strange color for this house
