This sign always catches my eye for obvious reasons but it also marks the location of a full-sized Korean grocery store in the middle of Koreatown on Bloor St. It has a treasure trove of Korean groceries and also a large selection of Japanese goodies especially candies and treats. I wander the aisles not knowing what much of the things are but fascinated by the huge selection of noodles, sauces, etc. The take-out food has always been good too. I have to learn more about Korean cuisine!

Cool find Redpat!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the Korean cuisine, but talking about Japanese goodies, you should try the candies (milk, strawberry and the fruity soft ones), I love them! :)
I LIKE it! Pat Central! It's all about us! Ha ha! Seriously, it sounds like a cool store!
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about Korean food - except kimchi which doesn't sound palatable to me. This looks like a pretty big place.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what PAT stands for.

Yes, I see why this would draw your attention! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes it is always fun to wonder around a food shop where few of the items are recognisable. Sounds like you take the plunge and buy from Pat Central occasionally too!
ReplyDeleteI know nothing of Korean cuisine, either, but it might be fun to wander about and try different things. Perhaps you can share with us what you like the best just in case we're close to a Korean market sometime?
